What are they talking about???? Have you heard or read the new "catch word"...."trend"....in desserts? PIE...that's right! People are saying that PIE is the "NEW CUPCAKE!" Are we going to have little restaurants opening that ONLY serve PIE now?
Scrumptious Pies have been around longer than the cupcake if you want to get technical! And what is so NEW about Cupcakes???? Didn't your mom made them for your birthday parties and for Christmas parties in elementary school and for snacks when you got home from school????? What's going on here!
Doesn't anyone remember REAL FOOD.....great tasting food from your grandmother and great grandmother's kitchen? Cupcakes are wonderful....always have been! But PIES have a life and a tradition of their own....Aunt Mallie's Pecan Pie, and Momo's Egg Custards and Coconut Cream pies and my mama's Black Bottom Pie.........
Our line of Pie Mixes was created in 1991......using my family recipes for Fudge Pie and Kentucky Derby Pie (we changed the name to Plantation.) My mixes are REAL FOOD.....real pies....using real ingredients that are pre-measured! Speed Scratch is what we call them!
Pies are not the NEW ANYTHING....they are delicious simple desserts that satisfy the eye and the palate with wonderful flavors! Just pull out your mom's cookbooks and start baking! (Or just buy my Taste of Gourmet pie mixes for an even easier way to enjoy a TRADITIONAL Dessert)
