We have a wonderful new pastor at First Methodist in Indianola....a young couple with two small children...we're so glad to have them with us. Every Sunday at the end of the service Sparks (that is what he insists on being called...I promise I am not being rude) repeats these words..."The Rules." What a great way to send people out the door of the Church...with a mission to help!
Tony and I found a small poster of "The Rules" in London years ago, when we visited John Wesley's home. It was just stuck on the wall of the little book shop attached to the house and I asked to buy a copy to carry home. They didn't have any more copies to sell....so the lady gave us the copy that is now framed and hanging over my computer. It has a sketch of John Wesley and is in an old English font. I love seeing it each day and it does remind me to "Do all the good you can....." These are also the words that Sparks says each week. Hope you keep them in your heart too.
