Blues, Bikes and BBQ is just a week from TODAY... July 2nd.....the King of the Blues, B.B. King, is coming home to play a concert in the Park for the kids (and a whole lot of adults who love him!) Friday night at Fletcher Park you'll hear some great bluesmen, including L.C. Ulmer, Grady Champion, college blues band from Chicago...then Marty Stuart and his band will play before B.B. takes the stage....what a great time to be in the Mississippi Delta!
Plan on eating at the park..... Team Indianola is cooking a catfish plate with all the trimmings....hushpuppies and all!
Then on Saturday....July 3rd....Blues Bike and BBQ is a huge festival in B.B.'s Backyard.....our new name for the festival area with Arts and Crafts, Children's Zone, live music at the B.B. King Museum (that's in the Front yard) and a huge BBQ contest with Memphis BBQ Network contestants and judges and a Patio Division with lots of local BBQ masters AND my brother-in-law's and his brother with their team called Adam's Ribs! And a Bike Rally with a Blues Poker Run to Blues Trail sites in the area..... So much fun!
The Crown will also have a tent in the Festival area.....sampling Suddenly Salsa and selling a few of our products! (You'll have to go the The Crown to buy the rest.) We just couldn't miss the fun in B.B.'s Backyard completely! Of course we'll be serving our yummy lunch at The Crown from 10:30 until 4:00 on Friday and Saturday! If you are coming to Indianola...you just have to come by The Crown! We'll be offering everyone a "Sip of the Crown's Sweet Tea" .....all day BOTH DAYS! See you at The Crown!
