Martha Foose will be signing her new book, Screen Doors and Sweet Tea at The Crown. It has great pictures, delicious recipes and just plain down home Southern Food taken to a great new level. I love the explanations of how Tamales came to be a Delta Food and why certain fresh peas taste better than others! It's Delta Food History as well as an entertaining fun book to read and of course to cook with!
You can wander through 6 downtown store, sipping wine or Sweet Tea, nibbling little Catfish Cakes at The Crown, talking to artists, listening to music, shopping and visiting! A great way to spend the late afternoon!
I haven't decided what else I'll be cooking that day! Come see - and TASTE of course! See you then!
