This year the B.B. King Homecoming Festival is a Tribute to The King....by his old friend, Keb'Mo! Music on the main stage at the B.B. King Museum starts at 2:00 with Jake and the Pearl Street Jumpers, Teeny Tucker, Alphonso Sanders and Friends, B.B. King Museum Youth Ensemble, Steve Azar and then Keb'Mo will take the stage about 8:00 with a stunning special tribute on film followed by Keb'Mo performing! Quite an evening of fabulous music honoring The King of the Blues! And it's FREE...just bring your chairs and enjoy!
Arts and Crafts will be in the parking lot of the Museum from 10 until dusk, with a kids zone across the street to make the kids happy from 10 until 2:00 and live music on the street in front of the B.B. King Museum and Blue Biscuit! A great variety of Festival Food on the street including BarBQue, Hot Tamales, Funnel Cakes and fresh Lemonade!
Downtown Indianola will also have live music on the stage by B.B.'s Mural and the Mississippi Classic Car Club displaying in the large parking lot on Front Street. A great way to spend the Memorial Day Saturday in Indianola. Our gift shop and restaurant, The Crown, is in the heart of downtown and we hope you'll stop by to browse, look at my own cookbook, The Crown of Southern Cooking, Recipes from the Birthplace of the Blues, admire the art and handmade pottery and even have lunch with us from 11 to 2:00! Or maybe just a piece of Mississippi Delta Fudge Pie! You'll be glad you did!
